ISTEC and World Talents, a platform that connects entrepreneurs with universities and startup ecosystems, have entered into a partnership aimed at attracting international investment.
The cooperation between the two entities seeks to reinforce Portugal’s existing innovation network and also to promote new scientific research projects at ISTEC.

The bridges of this alliance will be built through the Global Talent Portugal program, which will act as a connector between entrepreneurs, investors, the ecosystem, and Portuguese universities. This program gives universities access to new funding opportunities and unique resources to strengthen their development.

Through this program, companies and entrepreneurs from all over the world can establish their activities in Portugal, directly contributing to the university ecosystem through investments and research projects.

“The partnership with ISTEC marks another step in strengthening Portuguese universities as global innovation hubs,” says Bernardo Saraiva, co-founder of World Talents. “By opening doors to international investors and entrepreneurs, we aim not only to attract capital for research and innovation projects but also to foster a culture of collaboration that helps ISTEC strengthen its position as a reference in technological innovation,” he adds.

“Joining forces with World Talents and integrating the Global Talent Portugal program represents an important opportunity for our institute,” says António Fidalgo, Secretary-General of ISTEC. “This partnership expands possibilities for cooperation and investment, reinforcing ISTEC’s presence in the international innovation landscape. Our students will have greater access to a community of entrepreneurs and businesses, which will undoubtedly result in unique synergies for their development,” he asserts.
