The organisation also collaborates with the University of Coimbra, the University of Algarve, the Polytechnic Institute of Setúbal, and other national higher education institutions, and has already made a total investment of approximately €2.8 million.

The University of Évora has signed a partnership with World Talents through the Global Talent Portugal program, aiming to attract international investment to support R&D projects at the university and in the surrounding region.

The platform, which connects global entrepreneurs and companies with universities and local startup ecosystems and is based in Portugal, has developed a program that offers “additional funding opportunities and ways to drive research and development, as well as to expand networks of contacts with global businesses and entrepreneurs.”

Paulo Quaresma, Vice-Rector for Research, Innovation, and Internationalisation at the University of Évora, emphasises that this collaboration “is a strategic step for developing the city's entrepreneurial ecosystem” and will “support the transfer of knowledge from the university to society, as well as enhance the attraction of investment to the region.”

World Talents, founded in 2021, collaborates with the University of Coimbra, the University of Algarve, the Polytechnic Institute of Setúbal, and other national higher education institutions, and has already made a “total investment of approximately €2.8 million.”

On the other hand, Bernardo Saraiva, co-founder and director of World Talents, explains that the platform aims to “stimulate the creation of new projects and promote direct investment in research and innovation, which will directly boost the competitiveness of national university and startup ecosystems.”
