World Talents has announced a new strategic partnership with the University of Beira Interior (UBI). The collaboration aims to attract international investment and expand research and innovation opportunities through the Global Talent Portugal program.
Global Talent Portugal serves as a bridge between entrepreneurs, investors, and the startup and university ecosystems in Portugal. The program offers universities access to new sources of funding and resources to strengthen R&D projects, while also expanding their international networks. For entrepreneurs, the initiative facilitates the establishment of their activities in the country, contributing to local ecosystems through investment, the development of innovative projects, and knowledge transfer.
Since its inception, Global Talent Portugal has already attracted around 80 entrepreneurs and companies to the country, resulting in a total investment of approximately 2.8 million euros.
“Strengthening relationships with the university ecosystem across the country is essential to attracting international entrepreneurs and driving local innovation. Our first expansion to the northern region, through the partnership with UBI, represents an important step in this mission which, we have no doubt, will have a lasting impact on the region’s development and economic growth,” says Bernardo Saraiva, Co-Founder and Director of World Talents.
“UBI takes pride in its strong ties with the business world, promoting innovation and development through collaboration with the sector. The partnership with World Talents reinforces this commitment, allowing us to expand our network and establish strategic connections with international entrepreneurs and companies, opening the door to new investment opportunities,” says Mário Raposo, Rector of the University of Beira Interior (UBI).
